google plus profileSo you have an account on Google+, and are ready to share it with your followers or on your other social networking sites. What is the best way link them to your Google+ profile?

You could copy and paste the long Google+ profile URL on your page, which will look something like this:

https://plus.google.com/113700089599268336343/posts (That’s mine)

You can see for yourself it is not exactly ideal. It is a very long and goofy looking link. There is no easy way to remember this link.

However, we have come to the rescue with 10+ third party services providing Google+ vanity URLs!

Google+ hangouts is a fantastic feature of the Google+ social network.

It is literally video chat on steroids!

I used to mainly use Skype for doing video chats, which only allows one to one chats unless you have a premium service. Google+ hangouts wipes the floor with Skype and other services with a stable, high quality group video chat solution that even has some nice extra features. It’s all free too!

Google+ Game Notification

Some of us are extremely pleased that Google+ has some great games on it. Popular titles like Angrybirds, CityVille, etc.

Others of us, couldn’t give a damn, and quick frankly want nothing to do with notifications that have plagued us on other social networks such as Facebook in the past (I still have nightmares about farms).

As I have already mentioned, Google have been very helpful in setting up a specific stream for posts to do with games. However, it does seems that people can still send you game invites in your notifications bar, which, for some, could be a little irritating.

One great thing about Google+ is it’s search capabilities.

Obviously, Google are the Kings of search, so it goes without saying that the search feature within Google+ is awesome.

I love it as a great way to find posts on the topics I care about, finding information, and finding relevant people to follow on Google+.
