Google+ hangouts is a fantastic feature of the Google+ social network.

It is literally video chat on steroids!

I used to mainly use Skype for doing video chats, which only allows one to one chats unless you have a premium service. Google+ hangouts wipes the floor with Skype and other services with a stable, high quality group video chat solution that even has some nice extra features. It’s all free too!

How To Start a Google+ Hangout

I have made a video to run you through the process of setting up your own Google+ hangout. It’s quick and easy to do, and I am pretty sure you are going to love using it.

Check out my video below which shows you how to start a Google+ hangout.

As you can see, it is really easy to set up a Google+ hangout.
Once you have logged into Google+ scroll down and select the “Start a hangout” button on the right hand side of your screen.Start a hangout button

Decided who you would like to invite to the hangout and invite those peeps! You can choose public, specific circles, or even specific people. When you have put your invite list together, click “Hang out”!Invite people to your hangout

You are now hanging out! Hopefully you won’t be all alone like me!An empty Google+ hangout!
I am sure that if you haven’t used Google+ hangouts before you are going to be pleasantly surprised at how awesome it is. I mean, come on. Group chat for up to 9 people plus you can watch YouTube videos over the internet with your friends. My YouTube channel of choice is EpicMealTime, if you like gross things you should check it out!

Get some friends together, have a laugh and let us know how you like Google+ hangouts in the comments below. We would love to hear from you!

Until next time!
