Hey guys!

Sorry that you haven’t seen any new posts here for a week or so, we have actually both been traveling.

There have been some exciting new features added to Google+ which we will be covering this week, so make sure that you stay tuned!

See you on the internet!

In the early stages of Google+, there have been a lot of feature updates, changes, additions, subtractions, and so on and so forth. How does one stay up on the newest feature releases (aside from subscribing to this blog)?

Google has set up a very convenient “What’s New On Google+” page! In a blog type format, Google will continue to post updates on features from some of the company’s engineers and key people on the project.

They already have some content up, and you can be sure that there is more to come. So head on over that way and check it out!

google+ tutorialYesterday, July 19, 2011 Apple finally released the Google+ iPhone app from the AppStore prison! It was a moment of pure joy and excitement for those of us who had been waiting weeks for it to be released! For me it was a bit like Christmas morning.

Our hopes and dreams were quickly shattered though when it turned out that Google unintentionally submitted a ‘test version’ of the app to the AppStore, and the version was released with more bugs than Oogie Boogie. (Please tell me somebody got that reference!)   Continue Reading…

GPlusTuts*Update 15/07/11*

We have resolved the issues with Twitter and therefore I can confirm that our Twitter account is indeed @GPlusTuts – sorry for any confusion.

Thank you very much to everyone who has been supporting the site as we have been getting started – the support has been overwhelming and we are hugely grateful to everyone who has decided to become a part of this awesome community of Google+ fans!

Alongside the Twitter account we have a few other ways to keep up to date on everything that is happening here including an RSS feed, posts via email and an email newsletter. Please feel free to subscribe to these other services for your convenience!

That’s all for now – see you on Google+!

One thing that is certainly missing from Google+ right now is the possibility for developers to do their thing and create awesome apps using the Google+ platform.

I think that third party apps are actually what makes the popular social networks what they are today. Think about it – how many 3rd party apps do you use on a daily basis?

I know that for me if we take Twitter as an example, I’d say that 80% of my Twitter usage is via 3rd party apps!

So – the question is: What is out there at the moment to make developing apps for Google+ an option?
